Proudly owned by Neha and Hanish since January 2025, Chinwags was created with a simple vision: bringing people together through great food, great service, and a strong sense of community.
Located in the heart of Clarks Beach, we offer a welcoming space for family dining, casual meals, celebrations, and catching up with friends. Whether you’re a local resident or visiting the area, our goal is to make every guest feel right at home.
Family is at the heart of everything we do. With the support of Neha’s parents, many of our dishes are inspired by treasured family recipes that have been passed down through generations. Neha’s passion for cooking began at a young age while helping in her parents’ dairy and takeaway business, where she developed a love for food, hospitality, and serving the community.
Alongside our food offering, Chinwags is proud to have a fully licensed bar serving a great selection of beers, wines, spirits, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages. Hanish, our Duty Manager, can often be found behind the bar mixing drinks, sharing a laugh with customers, and helping create the friendly atmosphere that Chinwags has become known for.
As a family raising two young daughters who attend Waiau Pa School, we are proud to call Clarks Beach home. Being part of this community means a great deal to us, and we are committed to creating a place where locals and visitors alike can enjoy good food, good drinks, and good company.
